Phishing is a term that refers to the most common type of cybercrime used nowadays. It is an attempt to steal personal information( usernames, passwords) and financial details( credit cards). The targets usually receive emails, phones or text message that seems to come from a legitimate person or institution, where they are asked to send sensitive information like banking details. If the individual offers these data to cybercriminals, it can result in identity theft, broken accounts, and financial loss. The term was first used in 1995 for the cracking toolkit AOHell developed by Koceilah Rekouche. In 2004, was registered the first phishing lawsuit against a Californian teenager.
